Varietal: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon
Region: Valle Central
Country: Chile
Vintage: 2021
Price: $20
Critic Review: Deep purple color. Aromas and flavors of
black cassis, bay leaf, gingerbread, mulling spices, vanilla, and orange
peel with a satiny, crisp, dryish medium body and a silky,
medium-length finish with accents of smoked meats and sun dried tomatoes
with moderate oak flavor. A toasty, fruity Cabernet for weeknight
sipping. - Tastings Website
Wine Folly: pg. 88 The cherry and spice was right there when tasting and smelling the wine. I did not decant the wine, which may have impacted my experience and I should definitely try to do so next time I try it!
pg. 89 From the Chile region the black cherry and baking spices do come through, but I struggled to find the fig paste.
My Review: I love it!! The fact that this box of wine was only $20 for 4 bottles worth is unbelievable! Besides the great price it also tastes great. The aromas are rich in dark fruit with cherries and blackberries coming up for me. The taste had some spice and was very warm in the throat. It has a full body that is well balanced with a nice long finish.
I did not pair it with any food!
